Avid kayaker, paddle boarder and lover of everything purple! Yes, my hair is purple, as is most of my wardrobe. I am drawn to water of all types, the ocean, waterfalls, a flowing river and even a calm lake. Having been a volunteer at a wildlife park when I lived in Arizona, I have a passion for seeing wildlife. When we go kayaking, it is on a tandem kayak. My husband, Mike, paddles and I photograph the scenery and wildlife that we see. It was a “selfie” picture of a us in front of a waterfall in the kayak that won a week’s vacation, that started me thinking about a photography business. I am a recognized as a bird photographer, quite the challenge when the pictures are being taken from the kayak! It was my niece who started me pointing my camera at people. She did not like her senior pictures that were taken by the local professional. The portraits were actually beautiful, she is beautiful.
